So this has been long coming but with the opening of the shop happening yesterday. I figured it was time for a post like this.

WELCOME to The Sorcerer's Respite! We are an Occult Supply shop offering hand and or artisan crafted Occult supplies. We cater specifically to the darker or alt side of Magick, spirituality, and the occult.

 The goal is to have a truly unique shop with items made solely in house with as few exceptions as possible. What isn't hand made by us will primarily be manufactured by us at least. What this means? The bulk of what we sell will be hand made supplies. Exceptions for things like resource type supplies: cheap candles(not fancy ones) cheap fun jewelry (not all accessories have to be super duper quality all the time), etc. And they will very clearly be marked as such. Also merch will be coming soon. I'm talking everyday wear clothing, t-shirts, bags, mugs, etc with designs and other creations. All primary use items will be hand made and in house. 

Other exceptions to hand made will still come in form of in house creations. Other artist, or artisans may be contracted to create something for us of our design. Any outside collaboration or resale will be done ethically and with ethical partners. I do plan on eventually working in 3d printed items. However those will only be decorative and not as functional occult tools. Exceptions for items like cases, and stands. Other manufacturing processes may eventually come. COUGH COUGH forge. But again all of this will be done so in house. At the Sorcerer's Respite we will not sell out to big name manufacturing chains on your occult supplies. 

As of now I, L.P.D am the owner and sole artist of the shop. Save an outside artist who contributes to the knitted products. However the goal of The Sorcerer's Respite is to one day be a multi artist, company owned establishment similar in function to a tattoo/piercing shop. I as of now primarily make things out of wood, wood burning and sculpting. As time progresses I will be adding to my arsenal. For the foreseeable future this will be a solo endeavor. I practice a left hand path sort of NeoPaganism. A sort of Spiritual Anarchy if you will. Stregheria was the foundation of my journey into paganism, along with middle eastern pagan, left hand path, influence and formal shamanic study under a formal teacher. My direction is a deep dive into the intricacies of metaphysics, the occult and the function of a spectrum over said things. Especially the darker side. I set out to dispel the wrongful connotation that darkness equals evil.

Join us on our journey. Discover the intricacies of the occult with QUALITY hand made items, made by those who truly practice with the items they create. There is nothing wrong with making due with what you can. If you can afford it, and your looking to elevate your spiritual set up, again buy quality hand made items crafted by fellow practitioners. 

That would be our mission statement here from a retail perspective. To provide, Authentic, Quality, artisan crafted Occult, Neopagan and magical supplies; crafted by fellow practitioners. More importantly to do so at a fair price and conditions so as to broaden the accessibility of those supplies to people of all demographics. Lastly but not least importantly, to do so to the highest ethical standards possible.
