TSR-BOS, Fundamentals, Tools-Spiritual Tools: Psychic Powers and Influence. Third Eye

OK so. Usually, in most books, and other educational resources that provide the same objective as books. Usually, but not always; tools are lumped in with "Fundamentals", or what have you. However since Tools are what we make at TSR. I figured i would give tools their own section. So to learn more about tools look for the blogs labeled "Tools" or go to the drop down menu on the TSR Book of Shadows page labeled "Tools". 

With that being said. Not all tools are of a physical nature. Those are the ones that exist in the physical planes of existence. There are other tools available for those who practice the Occult and Spiritualism that is not of the physical. Of these, the most fundamental in my opinion is Psychic Powers. 

I'm not talking the various different categories of Psychic powers. No, I'm talking from the most basic root of it all. This is, I guess sort of my dogma. Not really. It's how I define Psychic power in relation to the Occult. The definition of magick as we discussed earlier is The act of causing change in the physical place in accordance with someone's will through the use of supernatural forces and influence on the spiritual planes. In short... However the forces that bind your will to that change. The very first actions that come about that catalyst that event. Psychic ability, or Psychic power. Again, I'm not talking a one for one. Meaning just because your born a fire elemental birth sign. Does not mean your a pyromancer. No. Instead what I'm saying. Psychic force is the force you project out that controls the energy around you. Its the forces you use when you commune with spiritual entities (They are not physical with physical ears. Thus they don't actually hear you). 

When you perform magick. Your psychic ability is what directs the energy in your Aura, or the energy from a Fetish to your will. It is what connects us to Wyrd, or the interlocking web of the Universe, or by whatever you call it. It is the permeating force that binds us to everything. The subatomic particles/catalyst that interact with the varying array of everything in both mundane planes and the spiritual planes that move the energy to complete and in accordance with our will. Ride the waves of our Psychic projection much like photons riding the waves of light given off by a star. 

When casting out, you project your Psychic ability out. This interacts with the catalyst/ Subatomic particles; that then interact with, and shape the respective particles and energies form their respective planes of existence at the right time... we hope at least. 

The individual avenues and or schools of Psychic abilities are their own individual Practices in their own right. They are Often regarded as plain "Metaphysics", or "New Age". However, by definition they are their own Occult Disciplines. We are not going to break those down and discuss those here though. That would require someone vastly more adept at those studies than I. I approach this all from a vastly different lens. I train in and practice my Psychic ability in the context appropriate for me and my craft. In that, the most important aspect is to keep it healthy as it is the fundamental connective, and permeating force that almost all the rest of the Occult and utilization of magick depends on. 

In that, this is a simple and small Blog post. It's relevance to TSR outside of its obvious fundamental cornerstone in Occultism. I do produce varying items and will continue too. That are intended to help enhance, and help you build your Psychic ability the best I can. To me it is an Understated and under represented facet of the Occult. 

Third Eye

The Third eye is in reference to a psychic or Spiritual eye. Interestingly enough, there is believed to be a physical organ that is thought to be tied in with the third eye. This is the Pineal Gland. The belief is that it is the physical connection of our brain and body to our spiritual body and the Third Eye more importantly. Again, I'm not a biologist, or a doctor. Nor do I claim to be the supreme authority in this subject at all. This is the belief and I ascribe to it myself. From my experience. Yes this checks out. 

So the third eye is sort of related to a Chakra. In that its a Spiritual Body Organ. It opens your conscious up to the Metaphysical world. It allows you to sort of sense things tied in with the spiritual world. Sort  of a seat of your intuition. It's a complex area of study within itself in the Occult. Suffice to say its an important part, and integral mechanism within the Occult.  

 

Simple Rituals for Psychic Growth.

Yes it reads "rituals", plural. That's simple. Meditation. The single most beneficial exercise and ritual for growing your psychic ability, Meditation. You can, and many traditions DO in fact have dedicated rituals, and disciplines, specifically in growing your Psychic ability. Sometimes it will be called under different Nuanced words, and explanations, etc.  They do exist. So it is up to you if you feel it is something that you would benefit from in a ritualized setting. Or would your rather just meditate and go with the flow and train your ability on the whims of your mind. However meditating alone helps in some way no matter how ritualized and dedicated to growing your Psychic ability it is or not. I do Highly Suggest though, dedicating some sort of meditation on a consistent basis. To some degree ritualized directed specifically at attuning and growing your psychic abilities. It will highly develop the rest of your craft.

Sigil of Psychic Power 

This is MY PERSONAL Sigil. The closest thing I could ever find to an ancient sigil representing Psychic power is the Greek Letter Psi. Which is the Trident looking part of the Sigil. I created this Sigil of my own to represent the powers of Psychic ability and the Third Eye. My most common Variant is the same save the eye portion at the Bottom. Indeed that does represent the Third eye, As does most of the eyes randomly displayed in my artwork. Well except on tools and such on my items. Those eyes represent something more whimsical. 

So without the eye it represents Psychic power or Psychic Ability more accurately. Although it can uniformly represent Psychic Power as well. The foundation of the Sigil is the Greek Letter Psi. Then I added the Rune Uruz to represent power and to add power to the Sigil. 

Also to the Variation, it can or does not need to be- inside of a circle. 

This subject is big enough to fill a book of its own. This is again a quick reference guide. Not an in depth Study. I hope this information was helpful! <3 <3 <3
